“There is a variety of gifts but always the same Spirit;
there are all sorts of service to be done, but always to the same Lord;
working in all sorts of different ways in different people,it is the same
God who is working in all of them.”
~ 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
As Episcopalians, we believe that all members of the Church, by virtue of our baptism, are called by God to ministry. We are all called to put our faith into action. Simply put, we realize that Christianity is not a spectator sport!
At St. James in-the-Hills, our ministries reflect the diversity of our community and the abundance of God’s grace. Each of us, having been given unique gifts by God, helps to manifest the love of Christ to our fellow parishioners, our local community, our diocese, and to the ends of the earth.
With over 25 active ministries, St. James in-the-Hills offers a multitude of ways for its members to live out their baptismal call. From an active and vibrant Youth Ministry and Sunday School to ministries for seniors and everyone in between, the faithful of St. James in-the-Hills truly live out the Christian community envisioned by St. Paul. While we are many parts, we are one body!
