Episcopal Church Women
ECW is an acronym for Episcopal Church Women. The ECW is open to every woman who is an Episcopalian.
Probably, the most popular ECW event at Saint James is the annual tea which the organization hosts. The tea is a fun filled afternoon, with ladies from far and near attending, and with each hostess taking great pains to host the most beautiful tea table, ever. ECW also sponsors the parish annual Chilli Cook-Off, where church members show off their culinary talents. Both events are fundraisers for the outreach activities of the ECW.
Our outreach activities include supporting Little Roses in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Little Roses is a home for girls who have been abused, orphaned, abandoned, and who have no one to care for them.
We also support the Saint Lawrence Chapel in their work with the less fortunate.
Our group of church women are committed to Christ’s ministry through study, prayer, service and fellowship.
